Rose petals litter
my dreams this week
like the flocked wings
of angels---fuchsia
blossoms baby-faced
and pristine, a blushing
testimony for the simple
life, urging me to live
slowly, to laugh with
dragonflies and daffodils,
to heed the whisperings
of the saints.
