    Into autumn
    The old poet
    Wanders off.

    He leaves his pen
    Behind and
    Writes what his

    Mind conjures. A
    Frazzled bird
    Sings off key.

    Imaginary
    Maidens recite
    His words and

    Fall in love with
    Him. His gray
    Hair fills with

    Falling snow.
    He buttons his
    Coat. His mind

    Is filled with
    Worry for the
    Frazzled bird.

    The old poet
    Asks the bird
    If it's cold?
