"FADE " Sylphs and angels with snakes and Dripping swords materialize from Moving clouds. Ribbons of black air vibrate on The highway like electric mirages In the distance. In short passages in an Optical opus. Ruminating the refrain . . . "How easily fade away". A sun set, a rainbow A held not or staccato How easily fade away. Foam clouds make galactic spirals In a cup of tea, feel the air Turn humid from the rising steam. Silver objects and guitar chords Play call-and-response , seeking Analogous vibration, Then, nothing. The spoken word given as a vow On the moment of sincerity gets Taken as carved-in-stone, Play: How easily fade away . Why? Phenomena live independent Of the moments they appear; What is death? What is time? For an instant, A glissando How easily fade away. Eyes pass each other everyday On the street and see what they Want to see. Energy passes with moving glances From human optical illusions. Measured out in sidewalk Staff notation, We sing the refrain . . . "How easily fade away" A young man growing old, An old man becoming young, A warrant of life for the newborn, A prayer for peace the dying. How easily fade away. . . Of a car, and the darkness.
